- Preparation is everything.
- Why can the doctors and nurses and support staff talk so fast? Because they are prepared. They may not be right, but they know their protocols.
- Therefore, you have to prepare so that you get YOUR job done.
- What are your questions? What are your signs and symptoms?
- What did the doctor or NP or PA change last visit or during this visit?
- You have to take notes.
- You have to write out your questions ahead of time.
- You have to know the correct phone numbers to contact your healthcare team.
- Preparation makes good communication possible.
